My Story
I completed my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Hons) in Microbiology from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata and my Master’s in Biotechnology from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. As a part of master’s dissertation, I worked on investigating the cytoprotective roles of Antioxidants on hyperglycemic HEK 293 cells under the guidance of Dr. Ilora Ghosh at the School of Environmental Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
Post my M.Sc. I worked as a Junior Research Fellow at an Apicomplexan biology lab at the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata, India under the supervision of Dr. Sudipta Das and I worked on understanding the role of Ribosomal stalk protein P2 in maintaining the asymmetry of nuclear division in Plasmodium falciparum.
As a graduate student in Dr. Sudarshan Gadadhar’s lab, I am trying to understand the role of tubulin glycylation in regulating wound healing responses in skin.
Besides academia, I love reading and I have a real passion for baking as well! In my spare time you can find me with a book in my hand, sampling desserts at various bakeries all over Bangalore!
